Monday - Friday: 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (Midnight) No Saturday Service Holiday Schedule There is no service on the following holidays: New Years Day Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day

Travel with Tar River Transit in the evening for work, school and/or recreation.

Tar River Transit now has transportation services available in the evening from 6 p.m.-12 a.m. Monday through Friday. This service will be provided within the city limits of Rocky Mount for the general public. Tar River Transit vans will be used and all vehicles used will be accessible and accommodate all people. Night Shuttle trips can be scheduled up to 4 p.m. daily. Facts about the service are as follows:

Fares: The fare will be $2.00 for each one way trip paid directly to the driver for trips within the city limits. Exact change is required. Fare for trips outside the city limits are $5.00 (as of August 1, 2018).
Schedule: Passengers may call (252) 972-1517 or (252) 972-1514 to schedule their trips.
Hours of Service: The Night Shuttle will be provided Monday-Friday from 6 p.m.-12 a.m.
Locations: Trips can be scheduled to locations anywhere within the Rocky Mount city limits.
